We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the National Permitting Service in Sheffield as a Team Leader. You will manage and motivate a team of Permitting Support Advisors or Permitting Officers to meet their goals and achieve outcomes that promote a cleaner and healthier environment which benefits people and the economy.

You will be responsible for the performance of your team, developing and motivating them to deliver results to strict time and quality targets, whilst ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing. You will support your team to resolve difficult issues and seek help and/or escalate as appropriate. You’ll establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external partners focusing on customer service.
The National Permitting Service consists of 420 staff working across a broad range of environmental permits and licenses. You will be responsible for a team in our regulated industry, water quality or water resources regime. There will be support from the Centre Manager and Regime Lead as well as a group of existing experienced Team Leaders forming part of the Permitting & Support Centre Leadership Team.
