The Water, Land & Biodiversity asset management programme aims to improve the way WLB assets are managed by implementing an asset management system that provides the framework, systems and processes for a whole lifecycle approach to the management of our assets. Ensuring they are safe, effective and resilient and that our future investment requirements are fully understood.

Knowing the condition of our assets underpins our risk based approached to asset management. The information is used to help us plan our work and target our resources.

This role will include:
- Inspecting WLB assets across your Area.
- Assessing the condition of these assets and the recording of these assessments on to AMXlite and then eventually AIMS:OM asset management database.
- Assisting WLB Area and national asset management staff where required.
- Assisting Area WLB Asset Management Technical lead to ensure WLB assets are safe, efficient and resilient
- Assisting WLB Asset Management Technical Lead to communicate with Area teams to develop and establish an organisational culture where all staff understand their role in delivering our asset management objectives.
- Supporting the ways to improve sustainability and resilience of assets and ensure that we are legally compliant.
Reporting to the H&T Team Leader, your workload will largely be guided by the Area WLB Asset Management Technical Lead. You will also work with H&T Officers in matters relating to asset management. You will be required to support National and Area asset management teams.

Experience in asset management, direct involvement in projects or in the delivery of asset maintenance work is an advantage but not essential. The ability to manage a varied workload is essential. Previous exposure to engineering projects is desirable.

- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers
- Deliver work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data/information
- Working under own initiative and as part of a team to make decisions and achieve planned outcomes
- Organisational skills and an ability to use MS Office (strong Excel skills are desirable) and other relevant applications
- Driving licence

The H&T team are based in Warrington. Some travel will be required. Candidates therefore need to hold a full driving licence.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake an incident management role.
