Over the next few years we have arguably the greatest opportunity to protect and improve the water environment for decades and as a Water Resource Business Management Advisor in the national water resources team you will be a critical in making this happen.

You will help shape our water resource strategy to deliver the Water Land and Biodiversity 25 year ambition. This includes a fundamental reform of the way we regulate water abstraction, charge for these regulatory services and introduce a longer term outlook on water management to increase resilience in the face of increasing pressures and environmental change.
We are looking for a communication advisor to drive reform of Water Resources so that it is financially sustainable and works better for business and the environment. Proactive communication and engagement will be essential to ensure our customers understand any changes, we gain agreement of our plans and the business is ready to implement.
You'll come from a strong communication background and ability to work well with a variety of people across the organisation, driving work at pace
The Strategic Business Management Team in the Environment & Business Directorate fulfils a Water Resource financial management and WLB asset management leadership role. Working closely with Flood and Coastal Risk Management and Environment and Business Directorate operational teams our team translates strategy into resources and ways of working necessary to meet our corporate ambitions.
You'll have:
• awareness of Water Resources activities and understanding future pressure

• experience of delivering results through others;
• a good political/customer awareness;
