You will provide specialist advice and support to staff and customers about our Data Sharing processes, procedures and systems, assisting data licensing, metadata and data flow mapping national leads.

You will build and sustain effective relationships with customer facing teams and technical specialists in the organisation. You will organise training and communication, ensure information is recorded accurately, is up to date and readily accessible to support team activities.

You will receive training on data licensing, metadata and data flow mapping, and develop knowledge of the principles that governs how people can use data and information we provide.

You will help to manage, maintain and update process documents and seek to continuously improve processes and procedures.

By maintaining good relationships and level of service with our customers and partners, you will enhance the Environment Agency’s reputation.
The Data Sharing & Access team is part of Data & Systems within our Flood and Coastal Risk Management Directorate. We provide cross-cutting services to the Environment Agency and Defra. We are a national team providing technical services, advice and guidance to share our data and information in line with legislation. We support the business to deliver their outcomes and lead the Defra Group in Data Sharing Services.

As a national role, location is flexible but must be office based. Travel to meetings in Bristol (and possibly other offices) will be required, with some overnight stays included
