Working principally with the core Natural Course Team and the relevant engagement/communications teams in their organisations, you will deliver an engagement strategy for the next two and a half years, ensuring our work is targeted, innovative and effective. You will provide specialist skills to help engage internal and external stakeholders, businesses, organisations and local communities, promoting the work of Natural Course and achieving joint outcomes for our water environment across the North West River Basin.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development of a Natural Course engagement strategy
• Planning and delivering a local engagement plan
• Using our Communications Strategy to develop and deliver a communications plan
• Keeping stakeholder analysis and engagement plans up-to-date
• Monitoring and recording engagement activity across the programme
• Identifying new opportunities for engagement
• Compiling written case studies of completed engagement
• Maintaining the Natural Course Website
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Programme Management Team (PMT), supporting the EU funded, Life IP Project: Natural Course. The PMT supports a wider collaborative team made up of representatives from 5 different organisations including the Environment Agency, United Utilities, Natural England, Rivers Trust and Greater Manchester Combined Authority. You will work with private, public and third sector organisations, and also engage with wider European project partners.
You’ll be an excellent communicator and confident in engaging with people and organisations. These skills will have been gained through experience in planning and delivering high quality engagement across multiple work areas, ideally working with a range of partners and organisations from all sectors.

You'll be a quick-learner, with a strong customer-focus, and have a desire to make a difference.

Leading projects and coaching others will come naturally to you. You'll be organised and have excellent attention to detail, ensuring all our work is delivered to a high standard.

You'll be able to work as part of a team and individually and prioritise an interesting and varied workload. You will be good at working under pressure, working flexibly and at pace, and delivering outcomes.
