Working with the Water Land and Biodiversity (WLB) Asset Management Programme Team and wider business leads, you will co-ordinate and support the delivery of the asset management programme of work in Yorkshire Area.

Your role will be to implement the actions in the Environment and Business Strategic Asset Management Plan to ensure our assets are safe, effective and resilient.
You will work with National and other Area teams ensuring our WLB outcomes for assets are better understood by providing technical advice on asset condition and identifying ways to improve sustainability and resilience of these assets. This will include, establishing an inventory of local assets, continually maintaining and updating this dataset to comply with our data standards.
In addition, you will need to ensure that operational manuals, asset maintenance and investment plans reflect our business priorities. You may also be expected to support the Senior User for asset repairs/ refurbishments and new assets to ensure WLB outcomes are safeguarded.
A key outcome of this role will be the delivery of local asset management plans, contingency plans and the implementation of minimal technical requirements for our strategically important assets.
Working in Yorkshire Area, you will report to the Area Environment Manager lead for Monitoring and your workload will be guided by the Programme Team. You will at times be required to support other areas and national teams.

You may have worked for an asset management organisation or contractor and been directly involved in projects or the delivery of asset maintenance work. From your work and/or qualifications you will have experience of asset maintenance and repair projects. In addition to be able to manage a varied workload. Exposure to engineering projects is desirable.
You should ideally have:
• Practical experience of whole life asset management
• Health, Safety & Environmental experience and awareness
• Allocation and investment knowledge
• The ability to deliver through others
• Engineering qualification and/or practical experience (environmental, civil, mechanical/electrical)
• Project / programme Management experience
• Understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM)
• Comfortable using information technology and associated software, ideally GIS tools

First-class communication skills are a must and it’s important that you’re skilled at managing multiple priorities. You’ll be an intelligent problem solver too, with a methodical work approach.
