Are you passionate about our rivers, lakes and coastal waters? Do you have a sound technical knowledge of water issues and an eye for detail? The role(s) is critical to developing evidence, water management action plans and influencing to make integrated planning come alive. You will need to think across disciplines and work across functions.
You will work widely with internal and external partners developing and interpreting evidence across catchments, providing strategic guidance for how we will deliver and develop our water environment opportunities, this includes building our WFD, Water Quality Monitoring and Bathing Water Programmes in Yorkshire Area.
The Integrated Environment Planning team strengthens the evidence base and drives integrated delivery to achieve the best for the environment.
We work with other teams and national colleagues to shape ways of working, improve and update the catchment evidence base and agree integrated programmes. Including deliver of RBMP objectives, Monitoring Commission, Bathing Waters, our Area Plan and 25 Year Plan ambition.

It is essential that you are an excellent communicator, experienced at making sense of technical information and are able to influence teams and partners to think strategically when delivering environmental outcomes. You should also be able to demonstrate political awareness when dealing with customers, stakeholders and communities. Experience of delivering work within a programme and project management framework to time, cost and quality is desirable.
The post can be based in any of our 4 offices but please note some travel to other offices and especially Leeds will be required. You will be expected to travel as part of the job to attend meetings, site visits and meet with partners throughout Yorkshire. A valid driving license is required.
