This role is funded by Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner, the Environment Agency will host it for the first 12months of the project. You will be a key member of the team, ensuring that we record our actions, communicate regularly, share information and act to achieve our goals. This is a partnership and you will co-ordinate the group's communications and actions. You will organise meetings, take and follow up minutes, co-ordinate data sharing and interaction across the group. You will record our work and ensure that this is done within current legislative frameworks e.g. Data Protection Act. We are looking to influence our communities across the county, from Christchurch to Charmouth, Gillingham to Portland. You will be based at the Environment Agency's Blandford office and must be able to travel to provide administrative support in meetings. These are likely to take place at partners' offices across Dorset, therefore having a driving license is essential. You will need to facilitate teleconferencing and video conferencing too. The group will be making a significant contribution to reducing and disrupting illegal waste tipping (fly-tipping). This is an exciting and varied role, and we welcome enthusiastic applicants.
Our group is formed of Dorset County, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, the National Farmers Union, Dorset Police, and Environment Agency. Our objective is to work smartly together to tackle fly-tipping in Dorset. We are a new group working together to share intelligence, data and skills to disrupt and reduce fly-tipping across Dorset communities. You will be based with the Environment Agency Waste Regulation Team.
You will have a variety of administrative skills:
• Organised, using your time well, completing tasks in a timely manner to a consistently high standard.

• Dispersed team working, getting good results working with people you may not meet regularly, but work with day to day.

• Keen to develop further using our distance learning options.
• Driving licence.

It would be an advantage if you are:
• Experienced using video and teleconferencing.
• Aware of modern investigative skills and intelligence gathering.
• Knowledge of legislation covering records management and data sharing.

Driving License
If you are applying from the Civil Service please note that the Environment Agency is not a part of HM Civil Service and you would not be a Crown Servant in the event of being appointed. Therefore, you will not be eligible for continuous service.
