You will join a dedicated team of Ecologists and Fisheries experts within our Operations Directorate. You will also be a part of a dispersed but tight-knit community of Geomorphology professionals who will support you in your role and in your career development.
You will be qualified to at least degree level in a relevant technical discipline and be able to demonstrate your Geomorphology knowledge at interview. You will have relevant practical experience that you can bring to the role.

• a good understanding of the requirements of WFD, particularly the hydromorphology element, is essential.

• awareness of biodiversity and fisheries regimes desirable.
The vacancy is in Warrington, covering Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. We are currently working flexibly with Covid restrictions, but this will be reviewed in due course.
The post will require working across the Area, including site visits and fieldwork. There will be occasional long days and overnight stays.
A full driving licence is required.
We support flexible working patterns.
Candidates who meet our criteria at interview but who can’t be offered employment on this occasion will be considered for any new geomorphology positions at this grade that arise in the next 6 months.
