If the above statements sound like you, then the Integrated Environment Planning Team (IEP) in West Midlands Area could be a great fit for your skills and interests.

Some of the core tasks delivered by this role include:- project managing consultants working on Section 57 preparatory work for all River Severn tributaries, updating the Area Drought Plans and reviewing water companies’ drought plans. Depending on team priorities you will have the opportunity to deliver other water resources work for example responding to flexible working requests and Drought Orders and Permits.
You’ll join the Integrated Environment Planning (IEP) team, containing specialists in water resources, water quality and agricultural planning, working across the West Midlands Area. We’re a team of experienced advisors central to environmental decision making, who facilitate integrated actions to maximise benefits for people and wildlife. We work with internal and external partners to collate, analyse and share data, providing the environmental evidence to inform our area’s priorities.
You will possess proven ability and/or expert knowledge that incorporates at least some of the following:
- water resources, and ideally water resources planning;
- water resources permitting
- project management
- effective working with customers and partners, using strong communication and networking skills to influence or help deliver outcomes;
-interpreting/evaluating and analysing evidence and data, this includes working with software such as Excel spreadsheets, GIS and other data systems;
-ability to work under own initiative, and as part of a larger, cross-functional team.
-good organisational skills/discipline and the ability to plan, track, deliver and evaluate work.
-ability to prioritise and deliver work to relevant standards and tight deadlines.
-experience of translating internal guidance and instructions into local delivery.
