Intelligence led programme support officer working in the National Enforcement Service (NES) in a dynamic part of the business. Environmental crime is a strategic priority for us, attracting high profile attention from the public, media, national and international stakeholders.

In this role you'll be working in the Intelligence-led Programme which is attached to the Intelligence & Partnership Teams, part of the National Enforcement Service (NES), a dynamic part of the business. Environmental crime is a strategic priority for us, attracting high profile attention from the public, media, national and international stakeholders.
Intelligence can help us target criminals who damage our environment, and our ambition is to be an intelligence-led organisation to prevent and reduce offending. This role provides an exciting opportunity for you to lead on specific pieces of work to help deliver this ambition.
We have a small Programme Team that sits within the Intelligence & Partnerships Team (part of NES). Working alongside our Programme Manager we have a "one team" approach which will support you in taking the lead on pieces of work and give you the opportunity to learn and develop new skills .

We work closely with external partners and various parts of our business, so this is a great opportunity to widen your business understanding
You will:
• Have an understanding of both the intelligence function and programme management
• Initiative – someone who is proactive in seeking to identify and embed new ways of working to help us work more efficiently and effectively
• A highly-organised team player – able to multi-task, manage your own workload, prioritise and meet tight deadlines
• An excellent communicator – someone with proven internal and external facing customer skills with an ability to adapt your communication style to suit the audience. A knowledge of the routine and administration of a SharePoint page would be helpful
• Excellent with IT programmes - It’s important you are confident in using MS Office, particularly Excel and Word and can use IT and other technology in an innovative way, to improve our work

Note that security vetting checks (SC and NPPV3) will be required.
Location is flexible and we are happy to support smarter ways of working through a mixture of home and office working but travel to our Birmingham office will be required at least once a month.
