We are seeking to appoint an Asset Management Advisor to support the delivery of our Water, Land and Biodiversity asset work across the Kent South London and East Sussex area. This will predominantly be a project manager role. You will also be responsible for the production of asset management plans and to oversee the lifecycle delivery across our water resources assets. You will be expected to manage your own workload and work flexibly according to the demands of the role, with support from colleagues.

Your role will include:

- Project managing our capital programme of projects acting as CDM (Construction Design Management) Client or Designer and support writing and reviewing PCI’s (Pre-Construction Information).
- Work closely with PCM on our large-scale projects acting as a Senior User.
- Oversee the development and delivery of the maintenance and condition assessment programmes ensuring a full lifecycle approach to asset management
- Plan inspections and manage our assets to ensure they are safe, operational, resilient and legally compliant.
- Ensure performance against strategic KPIs
- Undertaking fieldwork to complete pre and post work checks

Membership of a professional organisation such as the APM, ICE, Institute of Asset Management or CIWEM will be desirable.
Working in the Kent South London and East Sussex area you will report to the Water Land and Biodiversity Asset Team Leader, who will guide your workload alongside the area Asset Management Technical Lead.

Our team manage assets through holistic asset management. This may include asset inspection, the planning, design and delivery of improvement projects, programme management, and eventual decommissioning of uneconomical assets.

You will be required to work with other national and area teams.
We're seeking individuals with project management skills and / or asset management experience, preferably with relevant work experience in the water environment.

You will have project or programme management experience and with an understanding of asset management methodologies. Financial management, commercial and contract management will be second nature to you as will be the ability to deliver effectively through others.

You may have worked for an asset management organisation or contractor and been directly involved in programme management with experience of risk management procedures.
Project Management experience, Engineering or Environmental qualification and/or practical experience (environmental, civil, mechanical/electrical). Membership of a professional organisation such as the APM, ICE, Institute of Asset Management or CIWEM will be desirable.

Health, Safety and Environmental experience, particularly overseeing/managing physical and mechanical aided work, including CDM (Construction Design Management, 2015) will be advantageous.

Excellent IT skills and experience of managing and interpreting data are essential.
For this role it is important that you are based within the KSLES area as it is essential you can work on site with other members of the team being able to easily travel to sites within the KSLES area.

You are however free to choose whether your base location is in Addington, Canterbury, or Tonbridge.
