Right now we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team member who can help us deliver our commitment to create a better environment places for people and wildlife. Your work will involve providing technical support and leadership in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data. Providing support to colleagues who work on the systems we use (AGOL, ArcGIS, Enterprise, Easimap), you’ll assist with the maintenance of our central spatial data stores, ensure data quality is preserved and our metadata records are up to date, and provide communications support for the team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills with our GIS team, while supporting passionate users who are dedicated to improving our environment.

To be a success in this role you’ll be able to show that you care about the environment and have the technical skills, experience and drive to help your colleagues deliver their roles. Qualified to at least degree standard, or with equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline, you’ll possess advanced computer skills and experience of using ArcGIS tools including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server and online services.
The ability to use complex databases and data tools such as FME would be an advantage, and you should be capable of supporting customers and coaching others to use data and tools effectively. With good analytical and problem solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities, you’ll also be ready to deliver to agreed deadlines in a team environment.
