The post holder will:
1.Support FCRM input to ELM technical guidance documents for interventions on agricultural land with FCRM benefit, and work on implementation arrangements for the pilot & full scheme.
3. Lead FCRM input on developing training materials for farm advisors.
4. Support a range of technical tasks, including collation and use of spatial data where needed.
5. Contribute to the EA’s wider work on future agriculture to further the objectives of the FCERM strategy, remaining adaptable as government priorities in this area evolve
6. Actively contribute to the running and development of the team and wider department.
This role sits in the Natural Environment and Rural Resilience Team, within the FCERM Strategy department. The department leads the implementation of the FCERM Strategy, has oversight of flood resilience and adaptation (inland and coastal) and coordinates partnership working with risk management authorities and other key stakeholders to deliver the strategy objectives. There will be opportunities to shape the team and wider department through contributions to its people plan and associated cross-cutting areas of work.
Experience of working with partners to change land use or management to provide public benefits (particularly flood risk) would be helpful. Some knowledge of agriculture policy and agri-environmental schemes is expected.

The job requires understanding customer needs, communicating what is possible and collaborating with others. It requires good networking skills to establish good relationships across a range of organisations.

The ability to manage a programme of work, obtaining the help of others and providing quality products that meet user requirements on time is essential.

The role will require excellent data management, analysis and presentation to share evidence and embed learning.
