We're looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to join the Environment Agency’s (EA) Solent & South Downs Sustainable Places Team. Your work will help make the South East of England a better place for people and wildlife. The EA is a statutory consultee for certain planning applications. Responses are then formatted and sent out by the Planning Advisors within our team. The candidate will potentially have some development work where they may be asked to be the main point of contact for the EA on one or two local planning authorities.

- Checking environmental constraints associated with the planning applications
- Logging planning applications on to the Development Planning System (DPS)
- Liaising with internal and external customers regarding planning advice
- Dealing with enquiries from the public
- Other additional administrative work to help the team

We have a group of very knowledgeable and approachable people who are keen to positively influence the Environment Agency’s input into the planning process.
