An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our North Nottinghamshire Asset Performance team. We are looking for three enthusiastic individuals to help us protect communities and infrastructure from flooding by developing and delivering evidence based projects and programmes of work.

Day to day tasks include supporting our team with planning and programming, project management, contract management, and management of minor construction projects. You will engage with our customers and partners to provide great customer service. You will also maintain productive and positive relationships with our:
- internal delivery teams,
- external contractors,
- risk management authorities (such as the local Internal Drainage Boards and Councils),
- local communities, and
- partner regulators and advisors such as Natural England.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be involved in our area wide incident response at times when our physical assets are called into operation and compensated for incident response activity.

You will receive full training and support to enable you to feel confident in your role. We will also ensure there are opportunities for professional development. This role provides great variety, satisfaction and a real sense of achievement in preventing flooding to people, property and infrastructure.
The Area Operations Teams are motivated, vibrant and successful, offering a great place to work. Our team comprises a mix of civil engineers, asset managers, data and incident leads, asset inspectors and technical admin support. We're an outgoing and sociable team and now is a great time to join us as we embed asset management principles and continue to evidence how we better protect people and property from flooding.
We are seeking someone with a passion for delivering projects, handling programmes, managing contractors and finances. You’ll also have experience in building relationships both with the team and with internal and external customers and partners.

Most important is your energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and tackle challenges that come your way.

In summary, demonstration of the following would be advantageous:
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Experience in programme and project management and/or asset management.
• Contractor management experience
• Appreciation of whole life asset management cycle
• Health, Safety and Environment knowledge including CDM regulations
• IT skills; Good office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:
• Have or be working towards a civil engineering/construction qualification or can demonstrate relevant experience.
• Flood Risk Management related qualification and/or practical experience
• IT skills: GIS, MS Project, AutoCAD
• PRINCE 2
