12 month contract for a capable and motivated Specialist Team Member. You'll support the team leader managing our river maintenance programmes and construction projects.

You’ll run our scheduling database, linking orders and contracts with plans and specifications, and issue to the Field Teams through their iPad app.

You will use your construction and maintenance technical knowledge to produce Construction Phase Plans for minor works with risk assessments and method statements to enable us to compete the work safely and to a high standard.

Working safely is paramount - you will also actively monitor the team’s work to ensure high standards in health, safety and wellbeing, and environmental sensitivity.

You will be business and outcome focused. You will maximise the output of the team, ensuring we provide value for money by working effectively and efficiently to the required specification, quality, timings and cost.

It’s a role packed with challenges and variety that will benefit the team, local community and environment.

The post reports to the West Hampshire Field Team leader but covers both the East and West Hampshire teams based out of Romsey. We are two teams of 12, with a mix of people and construction and river maintenance skills and experience.

Skills, knowledge and experience in maintenance and construction work under CDM, with a strong knowledge of health and safety risk management procedures.
Ability to deliver results where performance targets are critical and problems must be resolved quickly. Organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure are essential.
You must be a positive self-starter, good at building relationships and developing links with people at all levels, across a number of teams.
You'll need to be highly computer literate, able to manage and collate data using spreadsheets and databases.
You must also have good written and spoken communication skills to convey information.
