We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in the Flood Warning Service. The role involves maintaining the Flood Warning service. You will be responsible for improving the flood warning service and undertaking threshold reviews and amendments where required. You will also contribute to incident management by improving access and knowledge to details on potential impacts of flooding.
You will join a positive, hardworking team that takes pride in delivering results.
The flood resilience team provide a flood warning service, plan for incidents and help co-ordinate the areas response to flood events in order to minimise impact on life and property.
We raise awareness of flooding in areas through campaigns and mailshots and attend events and functions in line with this.
We provide input into incident plans and procedures with external partners and test these through multi agency exercises, to ensure they respond appropriately to flooding.
You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer services skills and be a great communicator to a wide range of audiences.
Have a knowledge of ArcMap/GIS software.
Data management.
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of the Flood Warning Service is preferred but not essential.

This role involves clearly communicating flood risk management information to the public, our partners and other teams within the Environment Agency. Please tell us how you adapt your communication style and methods to suit the audience.
