We're looking for 3 Project Support Officers to join us in supporting our Corporate Management and Organisational Governance teams. The 2 roles in the Corporate Management Team will work to support a successful partnership with the corporate services teams. The role in the Organisational Governance Team will help us to support and enhances decision making by senior leaders across the Environment Agency.

You will:

• Help to fulfil our legal requirements by managing approval processes
• Develop new processes to improve the way we manage our business
• Help to improve the way we work by capturing the things that are going well and the things that need improving
• Maintain a positive relationship and ways of working between the Environment Agency and our corporate services partners
• Arrange meetings; capturing notes and monitoring delivery
The roles sit in our Corporate Management and Organisational Governance teams. You may not have heard of us, but we operate at the very heart of the Environment Agency. We play a vital role helping the organisation meet its corporate obligations and ensuring that business change is managed in a professional way. The team operate at pace, dealing with rapidly changing or emerging situations. Engagement, planning and strong organisational skills are vital to this role.
If you can work independently when appropriate and can demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving, then this role is the perfect step for you. You will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, self-motivation, with a positive and pro-active approach to work.

You will be adaptable, dealing with changing priorities with ease and working to tight deadlines. You will demonstrate responsibility for team performance and quality of projects delivered

In terms of skills:

• Familiarity and use of IT, particularly MS Office (essential)
• Excellent communication skills and good at sharing information
• Exceptional relationship building and customer skills
• Good analytical/questioning and decision making skills
• Resilience, determination and ability to respond to changing situations
• Foresight and the ability to anticipate and prepare contingency when required
• Good record keeping and writing skills.
