Working for the Environment Agency in East Anglia will give you an opportunity to make a difference.

You'll be a highly visible leader, able to organise, inspire and motivate people to achieve great outcomes. You'll know how to make our corporate ambitions and local priorities resonate with others so plans are converted into delivery and key stakeholders know the value of our work. You'll bring a passion to the role and in return be supported by great people in the Area. You will also enhance the Areas incident response capability by holding a senior incident management role.

This role is based in the western part of the East Anglia Area – covering offices in Ely, Brampton, King’s Lynn and Bedford. Travel will be required to other offices and locations which may not be easily accessible via public transport, so you will need a full UK driving licence.
You'll lead and support our highly skilled and committed Field Operations and Asset Performance teams who ensure that FCRM assets perform; protecting people and property from flooding and supporting agriculture and habitat.

During a flood event or environment incident, the teams operate to deliver the Environment Agency’s operational response in collaboration with our partners.

You'll form an essential part of our Area Leadership Team, providing forward thinking and strategic direction to the East Anglia Area.
We are looking for applicants who believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect people and the environment. You will be able to draw on your extensive experiences as a leader to describe how you have helped make a real difference.

As a member of the Area Leadership Team you will be committed to developing yourself and those around you, providing a positive role model who can create an open, inclusive, and trusting culture.

You must be passionate about developing other people, be innovative in your thinking and have experience managing health, safety and wellbeing.

We are looking to strengthen our leadership team with a person who thinks differently, is excited by challenge and includes everyone.
