We are looking to find an enthusiastic team player to support our Land and Water teams, helping create a cleaner, safer and healthier environment.

You’ll be responsible for providing admin support to the Environment Officers. You will need to be well organised and a capable communicator, able to interact with staff from a number of departments dealing well with internal and external customers, setting realistic expectations and maintaining valued relationships. You will also prioritise and action emails, track actions and ensure correspondence and business critical documents are dealt with accurately and in a timely manner. You will facilitate and attend meetings and travel to other offices in West Midlands as required as we work across a range of sites.
You will be based at our Fradley office near Lichfield as part of Tame and Upper Avon Land & Water team, but supporting as needed across the wider West Midlands. Your work will contribute to delivering priority based environmental outcomes in water quality, agriculture and water resources. The team also respond to environmental emergencies and incidents and you will be asked to support our incident response.
• Proven administrative experience.
• Highly organised and able to deal with confidential, high profile and sensitive issues.
• Act as an initial point of contact, communicating with the team so information and advice is delivery accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills building effective working relationships quickly with a track record for working well to deadlines.
• Flexible and resourceful, able to deal with shifting priorities, taking ownership of arising issues.
• Work effectively and efficiently on your own, dealing confidently with last minute changes.
• Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills are essential.
