This is a great time to join our Estates team.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who wants to deliver innovative, professional services that exceed customer expectations and provide great outcomes and value for money. You will be an inspiring person who has the ability to drive our strategies, a willingness to think differently and drive better ways of working. To be successful you will be versatile and adaptable with a track record of delivering in a complex and fast moving environment. You will be naturally collaborative and able to develop strong and productive relationships to support the Deputy Director Estates to ensure that our strategic ambition informs the Defra group strategy. Your agile and engaging approach will help you to work across the business to solve the challenges you will come across. You will work through our Estates team, across Operations National Services, and with colleagues across the business and in Defra. As a natural communicator you will have the ability to translate strategy into action and play a key role in the smooth running of Estates supporting our team to be the best we can be.

There will opportunities for some national travel in this role.
You will be part of a welcoming and motivated team reporting directly to the Deputy Director Estates.
Our Estates team extends to 114 people, offering professional support for Environment Agency land, property and compensation issues. We are core to the delivery of the Agency's £2.6 billion capital programme to better protect 300,000 homes. We also work closely with colleagues in Defra group Property to deliver our Estates ambition.
We are looking for someone who is confident, inspiring and passionate with great interpersonal skills.
Your strong influencing skills will help enhance the reputation of Estates and ensure that we effectively deliver for our operational customers. You will have experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and a track record of identifying and embedding best practice. You will have a passion for quality and innovation, focussing on continuous business improvement.
