We are looking for a permanent part-time Secretary. This is a high profile role in a high profile area.

Your primary role will be to provide excellent secretarial support to our area leadership team. This will include tracking, collating and organising information, emails and files, managing calendars and being the point of contact for the managers you support.

You will be organising and capturing actions in meetings, drafting and preparing documents, sharing information with different teams across the area and arranging travel and accommodation.

The grade rate is £18,392 hours: pro rata full time. This role is for a 0.5 FTE for 18.5 hours a week.

This job can be based at either our Ipswich, Kelvedon or Chelmsford offices – please state a preference on your application form.
You will be part of a friendly group of secretaries that support the area leadership team and work closely with the area director’s personal assistants. Team work and a positive attitude are essential. The ALT Support group is part of the Customers and Engagement team within the East Anglia area of the Environment Agency.
We are seeking an experienced secretary with good verbal and written communication skills. You’ll possess proven ability to work unsupervised, work well within teams, manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.

Other key requirements for this job include proficiency in IT applications including outlook, word and excel along with good organisation and communication skills and customer focus.

Some adhoc travel to other offices within the area may be required.

A full UK driving licence is desirable.
