We are looking to fill one Technical Support Officer posts located within the Nuclear Regulation Group (South). The post holders will be based at Wallingford and will be responsible for providing technical support to the Nuclear Regulators and Managers.

You’ll need to be professional, efficient and well-organised, with a proactive approach and attention to detail. Capable of planning and prioritising your workload, you’ll also need the people skills that will enable you to understand and meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

The post holder(s) need to be able to manage themselves and prioritise their workloads. They will need to develop and maintain a strong customer focus to develop and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
You’ll support the team on all aspects of permitting, incident management, invoicing, and office administration as required.
You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, vocationally trained or able to demonstrate knowledge/ aptitude in relevant subjects.

You must be numerate, competent in using standard word processing & spreadsheet packages and be willing to learn to use in-house computer software. You must also be willing to undergo additional security checking.

Previous experience of administrative support in local government or equivalent organisation would be beneficial.
