Through a proven track record of expertise you will deliver the telemetry needs of the East Anglia Area, working across the organisation with local and national customers and external partners. You will be the technical lead for telemetry systems in the area working with National Telemetry Hubs to ensure integration and meeting with internal and external customers to ensure systems are fit for their purpose. You will provide expert knowledge to the future of national telemetry initiatives and represent the area building strong internal partnerships and networks. Using your minimum of five years experience in this field you will look for cost effective and innovative solutions to streamline and standardise the delivery and application of telemetry systems in the East Anglia Area. You will be expected to lead, mentor and coach existing G4 staff on technical matters ensuring the embedding of new systems and standardisation of service quality. You will be expected to administer your own budget following clear identification of business need delivering cost effective outcomes. You will need an obvious passion for monitoring systems that feed data to the Agency's Water Resources, National Flood Warning System and River Levels on the internet requirements.
Depending on your location preference you will join one of two Hydrometry & Telemetry teams based in either Ipswich or Brampton reporting to the team leader but providing expertise and advice across the area to all staff. H&T measures all aspects of the hydrological cycle to deliver business critical data and information across the organisation.
HNC or HND (or higher) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering + minimum of five years practical application, student member or higher in IEEE would be a distinct advantage.

H&T Systems Management
H&T uses several different types of telemetry outstations, a number of which use generic and site specific sequence programmes to calculate other parameters and control external plant like gates and pumps. Can give several examples of sequence programmes that you have written to enhance the operation of the telemetry outstation.
Driving licence required
