We are looking for a motivated team member who can help us provide the technical support which underpins our commitments to create better places for people and wildlife. We play a critical role in implementing the Data and Information Strategy through both technical work and advice and support to the rest of the organisation and beyond, and a suite of excellent tools that support corporate services.

The activities include data management, data quality, data analysis, and processing, metadata, data provision through data services
Support for Easimap, What's in Your Backyard (WIYBY), ArcGIS, Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) through GIS helpdesk.
The GIS Team in Flood and Coastal Risk Management Directorate. We deliver vital services which underpin much of the Environment Agency’s statutory responsibilities. We provide support for spatial data in GIS using ESRI platform of products and internal and external facing web mapping applications through a dedicated service desk. Incident response is a top priority for the team. We provide data, mapping and GIS skills and services to support key roles during times of incident.
You'll be able to demonstrate relevant data and information management experience. Qualified to at least degree standard (or equivalent work experience) in a relevant discipline and evidence of:
• Advanced computer skills and strong experience in using ArcGIS tools (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server and online services). Use of complex databases and data tools such as FME.
• Supporting customers ideally in a 2nd line support role and coaching others to use data and tools effectively.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Delivery in a team environment to agreed deadlines.
