The Environment Agency, working in partnership with United Utilities, Rivers Trust, Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Natural England are delivering Natural Course; an EU Life Integrated Project within the North West River Basin District.

This innovative programme running until 2024 seeks to identify and overcome barriers to strategic delivery of the Water Framework Directive. Aiming to build capacity across and beyond the partner organisations to achieve more for the environment than each can deliver independently.

By working together and differently we will deliver real cultural, social, economic and environmental benefits across the North West.
We are looking for a Project Officer to provide programme management support and produce information needed to deliver outcomes as effectively as possible.

You'll be part of a multi organisational team who bring together different cultures, build on best practice and create innovative new ways of working.

You'll need to develop strong internal and external relationships with a range of people, providing support at all levels to help deliver a cohesive and successful programme.
• Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the team, ensuring efficient systems are in place to maximise the effective use of the team’s time;
• Experience of data and information management with excellent organisational and planning skills;
• Excellent communication, engagement and customer skills. Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external partners to understand and influence their activities;
• Monitor progress of work to support financial and technical reporting as part of the overall programme;
• Prior experience in a programme or project management environment is desirable.
Location: Richard Fairclough House, Warrington, with a commitment to work from shared offices in Manchester approximately 2 days a week. Other travel may be required.
