We are looking for someone to support our Area Debt team to maximise debt recovery. Do you have an interest in finance and want to ensure that we recover monies owed to us for permits or services we have provided. This will help our teams ensure that they have the right resources to ensure that our programs of work can be delivered.
The work will focus on administrative support for the Area Debt Group and will be managed by the Group Chair/ALT Lead. Tasks will include use of databases, collation of data, communication with customers and support for the initial stages of formal proceedings.
The post will be based within the Environment Management team, who are responsible for regulating a wide variety of permitted sites but also undertake duties at other sites which can generate income. These sites may generate debt which requires recovering, the post holder will work directly with environment officers within these teams. Other functions will also be involved in the work such as FCRM and estates.
You will work with a wide variety of teams across the business, but be located within Environment Management.
Some knowledge of finance would be beneficial but is not essential. You should have good IT skills and use of databases.
You will be expected to deal with some difficult situations and people at times, so you should poses good communication and influencing skills.
You must be able to carry out complex tasks following existing procedures but with an element of problem solving and initiative where required.
