Are you passionate about incidents, comfortable with change and enjoy delivering outcomes to tight deadlines? In this key role you will be helping deliver improvements to our national operational response to incidents. As part of a close supportive team you will ensure we deliver a professional incident response.
Your job will include:
• Communicating with our internal responders to deliver and embed improvements to our national incident response.
• Building relationships across teams and identifying opportunities for smarter working and delivery.
• Maintaining, developing and championing new ways of working in the National Incident Room.
• Supporting the operations of the National Incident Room.
This fixed term post will be based in Horizon House, Bristol and are a great opportunity to develop your incident management skills and experience with the Environment Agency.
We are part of One Incident Management & Resilience. Our purpose is to ensure we are a professional, trusted emergency responder helping people, businesses and the environment. As a team we develop new ways of working ensuring our day to day incident management service is robust and resilient. We are based in the National Incident Room in Bristol and are at the heart of ensuring we can effectively manage all kinds of incidents.
We are seeking someone who can plan and organise their own work. Identify solutions while delivering to tight timeframes. As a good team player you will be happy supporting colleagues and comfortable under pressure. You’ll will have some incident management experience and be used to delivering at pace. You’ll need to be flexible, a good problem solver and a good communicator. Some knowledge of the Environment Agency, in particular our role responding to incidents, is preferred.
