Field Operations protect people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk management assets and responding to incidents.

This role involves:

• Collecting, compiling and updating information, such as timesheets, team competency sheets and expense claim forms. Using this information to create effective,clear and concise reports.
• Inputting and maintaining data ensuring that records are stored in accordance with records management guidelines.
• Raising and managing purchase orders for service providers.
• Responding to incidents by participating, training and exercising in an incident-activated role, by applying your administration skills.
• Request and analyse utility searches for overhead and underground services, collate and apply for permits.
• A number of other duties dependent on business need e.g. link with Facilities Management
Our field teams protect people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk.

Field teams have a range of technical skills they use to deliver watercourse maintenance, along with asset maintenance and construction projects. The team handle a variety of specialist equipment including floating plant and boats.
Through your experience to date you will be able to demonstrate some of the following:
• A good level of literacy and numeracy skills, with Maths and English GCSE A-C or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Have, or are working towards, a Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 (or equivalent qualification)
• Delivery of work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and an ability to use MS Office. A willingness to learn how to use specialised systems and to coach other team members.
• Managing multiple priorities and competing demands to achieve short term results.

Most important is your energy, enthusiasm and willingness to learn combined with excellent problem solving and communication skills as you’ll be working with a diverse range of people.
