A Paralegal Apprenticeship with the Environment Agency is the perfect way to kick-start your career, combining on-the-job learning and invaluable work experience with study towards the CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice.
This is a Paralegal Level 3 (Civil Litigation pathway) apprenticeship. The role will mostly be providing essential support services for litigation matters but you will also get involved in a wide range of other legal work. All the while you’ll be studying towards a recognised legal qualification, with formal learning delivered through our training partner.
You’ll join an experienced and supportive legal team in either our Solihull/Birmingham or Bristol offices who deal with a wide range of enforcement action, litigation, flood risk matters, permitting and statutory appeals. This not only involves environmental law, but also commercial law, criminal law, administrative law, human rights, planning, property, employment, freedom of information and data protection.
As well as an interest in the law, you’ll need a minimum of 2 A-Levels at grade C or above, and GCSE maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent experience (the apprenticeship is not open to persons with degree level qualifications in law).
You must have the right to work in the UK and have been a UK resident for a minimum of three years.
Please note that you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
