We work in a multifunctional way across water quality and resources, bridging functions and partners, ensuring that you will identify solutions to the key environmental issues faced across Devon, Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly Area
The team is made up of planning specialists and officers and focuses on agriculture, water quality, water resources and river basin planning. Planning Officers are multi-functional and ‘own’ their catchment including the data, evidence and relationships within them.

Our work helps to ensure that delivery on the ground, whether EA or partners, is as effective and efficient as it can be and provides as much for the environment as possible for every pound spent.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of our business and environmental activities. Complementing strong IT skills with data management and interpretation. Experience of using GIS and water quality planning tools is desirable.

Ideally you will have a degree in an environmental subject and/or experience in either water quality or river basin planning. You will be free thinking and able to visualise information for a variety of audiences. Methodical, organised, challenging convention, delivering high quality work to defined deadlines.
