As an Area Asset Management Senior Advisor you’ll be responsible for ensuring our revenue and capital funded investment programmes are delivered through the most efficient routes. This may be work that is delivered in-house by our highly skilled field teams or outsourced to our framework contractors.

You’ll have financial oversight of a number of programmes of work and be able to make decisions at pace. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to get the best from project managers, field teams, supply chain and support services (e.g. procurement). You’ll be agile in your thinking as you optimise the programmes of work and respond to changing circumstances.

As a Senior Leadership role, you’ll be working directly for the Operations Manager and will build strong networks with other Area Asset Management Senior Advisors nationally.

As a Category 1 Responder under the Civil Contingencies Act, there are many roles you will be able to support with during flooding incidents. Some may require out of hours working.
You will oversee the planning and programming work of our Area Asset Management and Field Teams, enabling the effective delivery of works. You will also work very closely with the Catchment Engineer who takes a technical and engineering overview of the revenue and capital programmes. This role will work closely with the national network of Area Asset Management Senior Advisors to share best practice and learning across the country.
This role requires experience of delivering large and complex programmes of work and being comfortable with making decisions at pace. Experience of capital and revenue funding streams is preferable. This is a leadership role where you will bring together different teams to deliver a shared goal. Communication and engagement skills are essential as you’ll be working extensively with internal and external partners and suppliers to smooth through the delivery of our maintenance programmes.

This financial settlement is going to bring about change in our Area Asset Management Teams.
